South Korea reported 469 new COVID-19 cases on Friday amid mass infections at religious educational facilities.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency(KDCA) said on Friday that the new cases raised the country's accumulated caseload to 77-thousand-395.
The daily figure slightly decreased from the previous day, but remained in the 400s for the second straight day amid infections linked to the IM missionary society and outbreaks of small clusters at workplaces.
Of the new infections, 445 were local transmissions while 24 were imported.
More than 250 domestic cases came from the capital area as Seoul added 109 infections, Gyeonggi Province 129 and Incheon 18.
Other parts of the nation reported 189 cases, as Gwangju added 54 infections and Busan reported 34.
Thirteen more deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to one-thousand-399. The fatality rate stands at one-point-81 percent.
The number of critically ill patients dropped by 12 to 239.
