South Korean figure skater Huh Ji-yu, a 13-year-old prospect, won a surprise silver medal in her debut at the International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix.

Huh claimed second place in the junior women’s competition at the ISU JGP Riga Cup 2025, on Friday local time in Riga, Latvia.

She scored 64-point-17 points in technical elements and 56-point-54 in program components, for a total of 120-point-71 in the free skate on Friday.

Combined with Thursday’s short program score of 65-point-84, Huh finished with a personal-best total of 186-point-55 points.
