The special counsel team investigating the December 3 martial law case wrapped up a third round of questioning of former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo late Friday night.

Han arrived at special counsel Cho Eun-suk’s office in southern Seoul at around 9:30 a.m. and left about 13 and a half hours later, at 11 p.m., after reviewing the record of proceedings. Han declined to answer questions from reporters as he left.

Han is accused of abetting former President Yoon Suk Yeol in illegally declaring martial law.

He had previously been summoned on July 2 and again on August 19, when he was grilled for more than 16 hours about Cabinet meetings before and after the martial law declaration and on the martial law decree.

With questioning of Han now effectively complete, the special counsel team is expected to decide soon whether to seek an arrest warrant.
