The special counsel team investigating the December 3 martial law case is again questioning former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo about his alleged role.

Han appeared at special counsel Cho Eun-suk’s office in southern Seoul around 9:30 a.m. Friday for the third time, after earlier interrogation sessions on July 2 and Tuesday this week. 

Han is suspected of abetting former President Yoon Suk Yeol in illegally declaring martial law.

Cho’s team plans to question Han about the Cabinet meeting held just before Yoon declared martial law, relying on CCTV footage and statements from Cabinet members.

The team grilled Han for over 16 hours from Tuesday morning to early Wednesday morning, focusing on the Cabinet meeting and the drafting of a revised version of Yoon’s martial law decree.
