Former first lady Kim Keon-hee was questioned for over three hours on Thursday by the special counsel team investigating a string of corruption allegations against her. 

Special counsel Min Joong-ki’s team said Thursday that the interrogation started at 2:12 p.m. and ended around 5:30 p.m. 

Kim returned to the Seoul Southern Detention Center around 6:24 p.m. after reviewing the official transcript of her statement. 

Thursday’s questioning, the third since Kim was taken into custody, centered on Jeon Seong-bae, a shaman also known as Geon Jin.

Jeon allegedly received luxury gifts from the Unification Church to deliver to Kim along with lobbying requests for the church’s global initiatives, business projects and media acquisitions.

Kim refused to answer most of the questions. 

Min’s team plans to bring her in again for additional questioning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
