President Lee Jae Myung has spoken with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof on the phone and discussed bilateral cooperation.

Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung said Monday that Lee held his first phone call with the Dutch prime minister since he took office.

In the conversation, Schoof reportedly expressed hope that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries will grow even closer under the Lee administration.

In response, Lee proposed that the two countries, as strategic partners and allies in the semiconductor field, maintain active communication at all levels to promote more substantive cooperation.

The two leaders also noted significant recent progress in bilateral relations across various sectors, including trade and investment, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, and agreed to work together to deepen exchanges and cooperation in a wide range of areas in the future.
