The online bookstore Yes24 has been hit by another ransomware attack, two months after an earlier hacking incident disrupted service.

The nation’s largest online bookstore, whose website was completely shut down in June after the first attack, became inaccessible for seven hours early on Monday, before being normalized at 11:30 a.m.

Officials at the bookstore confirmed to KBS that it initiated an emergency shutdown early Monday after it identified signs of a ransomware attack.

Still, they were not able to confirm whether the same perpetrators carried out the attack in June.

The online platform’s services were shut down June 9-13 due to the initial attack.
