President Lee Jae Myung will dispatch a delegation to Indonesia this week in a bid to strengthen bilateral relations.

Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung announced on Sunday that the group will visit Indonesia from Monday to Wednesday, with Rep. Cho Jeong-sik of the ruling Democratic Party leading the delegation.

Kang said that the envoys will convey the South Korean government's commitment to deepening the special strategic partnership between the two nations.

The two sides are expected to exchange views on expanding cooperation across key sectors, including trade, investment, defense, energy, and digital transformation.

Since taking office, President Lee has sent diplomatic envoys to the European Union, India, Canada, Vietnam, and other nations as part of his administration's global outreach efforts.
