Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Chung Eui-sun was elected as the 14th president of the Korea Archery Association.

The governing body's election committee announced Chung's reelection in an unanimous decision on Friday, after a review of his sole candidacy in the election.

Chung, who took office for the first time in 2005, will lead the association for the sixth consecutive term effective from January 2025 through January 2029, during which the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games are set to be held.

The Hyundai chief has been praised for establishing a fair and transparent competition culture in archery and applying the automaker's management and technological know-how to ensure the nation's archery continues to evolve and dominate global competitions.
