Seoul apartment prices have ended a ten-week rise going into the Chuseok holiday.

Real estate portal Budongsan 114 says that property prices in Seoul fell two-hundredths of a percent since mid-July, the first decline in ten weeks.

Prices marked a sharper drop of six-hundredths of a percent in the new town areas from last week, while prices rose four-hundredths of a percent for the capital area.

The reconstruction market in Seoul also fell 12-hundredths of one percent overall.

Rental prices dropped three-hundredths of a percent in Seoul but rose two-hundredths of a percent both in the new towns and the capital area.

Experts say that due to price ceilings on sales and low costs of apartments set for reconstruction, prices will remain weak even after Chuseok.
