'Taliban to Halt Hostage Killings Temporarily'
Japan's Asahi Shimbun says that the Taliban will suspend the killing of South Korean hostages for the time being.
A senior commander in Ghazni Province told the daily in a telephone conversation Thursday that the Afghan government is intentionally dragging out negotiations, irritating and pushing the Taliban to kill hostages.
The commander said that the Taliban is now devising ways to drive Kabul into a corner, and will temporarily halt the killing of hostages.
