Nuke Negotiator to Return Home Early

The nation’s top nuclear negotiator Chun Yung-woo will return home from the United States a day earlier than planned.

The Foreign Ministry said that Chun cut his trip short as consultations with the U.S. ended earlier than expected. He had left for Washington Monday with plans to return Friday.

A ministry official said that the nuclear envoy met with U.S. counterpart Christopher Hill, White House Deputy National Security Adviser Jack Crouch, and Senator Richard Lugar during his four-day stay.

Their discussions focused on how to carry out the February 13th six-party agreement once the North receives its assets from the Macao-based Banco Delta Asia bank.
