Body of Soldier Killed in Afghanistan to Return Home Friday
The body of a Korean soldier killed in Tuesday's suicide bombing in Afghanistan will return home by the weekend after being moved to Kuwait on a U.S. cargo plane Wednesday night.
Defense officials said Wednesday that several Korean military officials and bereaved family members of Sergeant Yoon Jang-ho will leave for Kuwait on Thursday morning.
They will receive the body of Yoon, 27, at Kuwait's Mubarak Airport before arriving in Korea on Friday morning.
The body will be placed at a military hospital in Seoul, and his funeral will likely be organized by the Army Special Forces.
