Three new Supreme Court justices on Monday were inaugurated in a ceremony at the Court Administration Ministry.

Former Court Administration Vice Minister Kim Hwang-shik said he will strive to make a just society that respect humans, adding he is burdened by his lack of ability versus high public expectations.

Attorney Park Si-hwan said the big changes affecting the court today are a challenge but also an opportunity, saying it must recognize and reflect recent trends in its rulings.

Judicial Research and Training Institute member Kim Ji-hyeong pledged efforts for the court to quickly regain the public's trust.
