The tech-heavy KOSDAQ climbed two-point-75 points, or zero-point-31 percent, to close at 875-point-93.
 
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened nine-point-five won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-310-point-three won.
