ITU High Level Forum Opens in Seoul

A preparation forum began in Seoul on Monday ahead of the 2014 International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Plenipotentiary Conference.
The two-day forum is aimed at promoting cooperation among ITU member countries and will serve as a venue for talks on expanding information and communications technology.
The forum also aims to lay the groundwork for a successful hosting of next year's conference on the world's information, electronics and communications policies.
South Korea is the chairing country for the 2014 ITU Plenipotentiary Conference. The 2014 conference will be held in the southern port city of Busan.
