Typhoon Danas Leaves Without Causing Much Damage

Weather warnings issued for the South Gyeongsang region have been lifted as Typhoon Danas passed by Busan and left for the East Sea early Wednesday morning.

Authorities said the southern coast, Jeju Island and Busan came under the influence of the typhoon, but Danas left without much damage.

Airports in Jeju, Gimhae and Ulsan operated normally from Wednesday's first arrivals and departures. Shipping routes in Busan, the southern coast and Jeju Island were almost all normalized as well.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Danas became a small, weak typhoon and is expected it to lose steam and dissolve by Wednesday afternoon.
