The government has started selling frequency slots at auction for long term evolution or LTE mobile phone service.

The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning started the auction on Monday morning at the Telecommunications Technology Association in Gyeonggi Province to sell frequency slots for LTE service, including one-point-eight gigahertz and two-point-six gigahertz.

The ministry will announce daily auction results at 8 p.m. every day until the auction ends.
