The sweltering weather Korea is experiencing will likely continue through the middle of next month. The nation has been gripped by a heat wave for more than a week since the rainy season ended earlier this month.
 
The Korea Meteorological Administration also predicts atmospheric instability and a low pressure front will bring heavy rains to Korea later this month.
 
The country will see sizzling weather in early September due to the influence of the North Pacific anticyclone system. The amount of rainfall will be similar to that of previous years at 45 to 99 millimeters.

The weather agency also forecast the temperature in mid to late September will be higher than that seen in previous years.
