Tropical Weather Felt Throughout S. Korea

Most of South Korea sweated under extremely warm temperatures on Wednesday night.
 
The Korea Meteorological Administration said Wednesday marked the largest number of regions this year to experience tropical nights, characterized by overnight lows that never fall below 25 degrees Celsius.
 
Morning lows on Thursday stood at 30-point-nine degrees Celsius in Gangneung, 28-point-two degrees in Daegu, 27-point-three degrees in Seoul, and 27-point-two degrees in Daejeon.
 
The weather agency said afternoon highs will reach 37 degrees Celsius in Daegu, Gangneung and Jeonju. It said the temperature will hit 35 degrees in Seoul.
 
The weather agency forecast tropical nights will continue in most parts of South Korea for the time being.
