Seoul saw its first tropical night of the summer on Monday. It arrived six days earlier than last year.

The Korea Meteorological Administration explained that Gyeonggi Province and the western part of South Chungcheong Province also experienced their first tropical night of the year. The weather agency attributed it to a seasonal rain front moving northward last night.

Morning lows were 26-point-one degrees in Seoul, 25-point-seven degrees in Incheon, 25-point-four degrees in Suwon and 25-point-one degrees in Soesan of South Chungcheong Province on Tuesday.

The temperature was also hovering over 25 degrees Celsius overnight in the southern cities of the nation, including Jeonju and Gwangju.
