'N. Korea Likely Behind June 25 Cyber Attack'

South Korea has reached a tentative conclusion that North Korea was behind last month's cyber attack on government Web sites and other organizations.

A joint civilian-government-military investigation team on Tuesday released its interim probe results based on the analysis of malicious codes and log records collected from the affected equipment. Web sites of the presidential office, the Office for Government Policy Coordination under the Prime Minister's office, and other organizations were hit.

The team estimated that a total of 69 organizations fell victim to the June 25th cyber attacks.

The team previously concluded that the massive cyber attack on broadcasters and financial institutions on March 20th was also orchestrated by the North.
