The number of KakaoTalk users cleared the 100 million mark this month three years and three months after its launch in 2010.

The 100 million milestone was reached just two months after the figure topped 90 million in May this year. The number of users reached ten million in April 2011 and 50 million in June last year.

The free mobile messenger service provider said on Tuesday that providing various fun features and services, such as gift shops, Voice Talk and unique emoticons, boosted the growth.
