The nation's whether authorities issued a heavy rain watch for seven cities and districts in Gyeonggi Province at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
 
A heavy rain advisory currently is also in place for three cities and districts in northern Gyeonggi Province.
 
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast that the northern parts of Gyeonggi Province will see between 70 and 120 millimeters of rain until Thursday.
 
An official of the weather agency called for extra caution in managing facilities as the rain will be accompanied by strong winds, thunder and lightning.
