Domestic Team Develops Flexible Semiconductor Material

A domestic team of researchers has developed a silicon-based flexible semiconductor material.

A research team at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology said it has successfully developed a flexible highly integrated circuit, which is a key part in the production of wearable computers and flexible displays.

The team formed an ultra-thin, silicon-based highly integrated device and transplanted it into a plastic panel to develop the flexible semiconductor material.

The development was published in the online edition of the international journal, ACS Nano, in May.
