Gov’t to Foster Space Technology Industry

The government will form a task force to nurture and bolster the space technology industry.
The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning said that the task force will consist of government and civilian experts and launch sometime this month.
The ministry will expand private sector's participation in government-led projects to develop satellites and projectiles while focusing on supporting the development and sales of 500-kilogram class satellites that are enjoying surging global demand.
It will also foster space technologies that can be applied to the medical, textile, environment and health industries.
