KAIST Professor Develops Portable Sound Camera

Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology Professor Bae Seok-hyung has developed the world’s first portable sound camera.

The portable camera, which was jointly developed with a domestic venture firm, can detect abnormal noises of industrial goods to identify errors in design, abrasions, and damage.

The device has been honored with the famous Red Dot Design award in the product design category. The Red Dot Design award is one of the world’s three major design awards.
