Hi-tech robots used to only be found in sci-fi movies and novels. Not anymore.

These days, robots are a reality and being used for a multitude of purposes, including industrial purposes at shipyards.

Some are used help people with disabilities and one even works at a theater. Another robot is a member of an explosive disposal unit.

South Korea's robot market is estimated at two trillion won and it has exported more than 500 billion won worth of robots.

The South Korean government is planning to foster the robot industry as a pivotal part of its creative economy policy. It will provide financial support of 100 billion won to the industry and boost the volume of the robot market to 25 trillion won by 2022.
