Launch of Naro Rocket to be Decided on Wednesday

South Korea will likely decide this Wednesday whether the Naro space rocket could be launched by November 24th, the deadline for the nation’s third attempt to launch the rocket.

President of the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, Kim Seung-jo, told reporters on Monday that an adapter block, the part that was responsible for the suspended launch, should arrive from Russia by Wednesday at the latest in order to proceed with the launch.

Kim said a launch by the 24th would be unlikely if the part does not arrive by Wednesday, given it takes about a week to replace and test the part and another two days to install it.
