South Koreans’ habit of eating fast is said to raise the risk of developing hyperlipidemia.

Hyperlipidemia is a disease that clogs blood vessels due to elevated levels of lips. It can lead to cardiac infarction or strokes.

Around one-point-08 million patients are said to have visited the hospital due to hyperlipidemia last year alone, which is nearly double compared to five years earlier.

In particular, South Koreans' short meal time, which usually ends in just ten minutes, are said to raise the risk of developing the disease.

Eating in a short time increases the amount of food intake and raises the level of fat in the blood.

Experts say it is important to decrease consumption of meat and instant food products and exercise on a regular basis and improve one’s lifestyle to prevent the disease.
