The first snow of the season fell at Seorak Mountain on Tuesday.

The Gangwon Regional Meteorological Administration and the Mount Seorak National Park Service say snowflakes fell at Daecheong and Jungcheong peaks at 9:05 a.m. for about five minutes.

The first snow at Daecheong comes about ten days earlier than last year. Since 2000, the earliest snowfalls on the peak were in 2003 and 2007, both on October 14th.
