Naro Rocket New Launch Date to be Set on Monday

A third meeting for the launch of South Korea’s Naro Rocket is expected to be held on October 29th as the reason behind the rocket malfunction has been confirmed.

The committee to convene on Monday will look into the result of the investigation behind the malfunction and decide on another possible launch date for the rocket.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said the rocket will probably be launched sometime in the middle of November, as experts must determine the best time for the rocket to enter space and avoid collision with other objects outside the atmosphere.

The rubber ring that was found to have caused the delay has been sent to Russia to be analyzed, while South Korean and Russian experts will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the rocket for at least the next seven days.
