Naro Rocket Being Dismantled For Technical Flaws

An investigation into the reasons behind the delay of the Naro Rocket began early on Saturday.

The Korea Aero Space Research Institute took the Naro Rocket from its launch pad on Friday afternoon and is currently dismantling the rocket in search of technical flaws.

KARI officials said yesterday that the rocket launch had been urgently delayed due to a helium leak from a connection between the first-stage rocket of the Naro and the launch pad.

Researchers from both South Korea and Russia are currently looking into the problem to see whether it was due to a simple technical flaw or another error.

A launch committee will convene on Monday and will decide on the next possible launch date and whether the rocket will be able to operate properly based on their findings.

The government is also making its best efforts into finding the root of the problem as it is the last launch for the Naro Rocket.
