Figure skater Kim Yuna will prepare her comeback to competitive skating by teaming up with two of her childhood coaches.
Kim announced that she will reunite with coaches Shin Hye-sook and Ryu Jong-Hyun for the remainder of the 2012-13 season. Shin will be in charge of the 22-year Olympic champion's training programs, while Ryu will handle her conditioning and fitness training.
Kim’s contracts with Shin and Ryu will last until the 2013 World Figure Skating Championships in London, Ontario, in March next year. And then, she will name new coaches for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
Ryu was Kim's first proper coach who trained her in the very early days of her figure skating career.
Shin coached Kim for three years when she was an elementary school student.
The South Korean figure skating sensation announced in July that she will compete in the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. Kim added that she will retire as a professional figure skater after the 2014 games.
Kim has taken more than a year off from competition after finishing as runner-up at the 2011 World Figure Skating Championships.
