Naro Space Rocket Moved to Launch Pad

South Korea's Naro space rocket was moved to its launch pad on Wednesday just two days ahead of takeoff.

The Korea Aerospace Research Institute announced that the rocket left its assembly site around 8:15 a.m., and installation on the launch pad should wrap up by 5 p.m.

In order to minimize the risk of damage during the rocket's move, a special vibration-proof vehicle that runs at a speed of less than two kilometers per hour was used to haul Naro. The process took around one-and-a-half hours.

A final rehearsal will take place on Thursday and later that evening, a final decision on whether to launch Naro on Friday will be made during the second meeting of the Korea-Russia joint flight test committee.
