S. Korea Edges Qatar 2-1 in World Cup Qualifier

South Korea beat Qatar 2-1 during their Group A Asian qualifying soccer match for the 2014 World Cup.

Striker Son Heung-min scored the winning goal during the sixth minute of injury time at the qualifying match in Seoul Tuesday.

The win brings South Korea's point total to ten, ranking it second in Group A after Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan defeated Lebanon 1-0 and is leading Group A with a total of eleven points.

South Korea will compete against Lebanon on June fourth.

Meanwhile, Japan is leading Group B despite a 2-1 loss against Jordan.
