Weightlifter Jang Mi-ran silenced rumors on Tuesday that she plans to retire after winning three gold medals at South Korea's National Sports Festival for the tenth year in a row.

In the women’s over-75 kilogram weightlifting event at the festival in Daegu, Jang took first in the snatch with a lift of 121 kilograms. She lifted 155 kilograms in the clean and jerk to beat her runner-up by 12 kilograms.

The Olympic medalist lifted a combined 276 kilograms to defend her title, nowhere near her personal best of 326 kilograms.

Rumors had surfaced that Jang planned to leave the sport after ranking fourth at the London Olympics this summer.
