Japan's Mainichi Shimbun reported Friday that North Korea has notified the Japanese Winter Asian Games Organizing Committee of its intention to participate in the winter games to be held in Aomori, Japan on February 1st through 8th. According to the organizing committee, the North Korean Olympic Committee sent an E-mail under the name of Secretary General that it would send the necessary documents as soon as possible.
