Shin Wins Women's British Open in 4 Yrs

South Korean Shin Ji-yai has won the Ricoh Women's British Open, the final major tournament on the LPGA Tour this season.

At Royal Liverpool Golf Club in the UK Sunday, Shin scored a four-round total of nine-under 279 to clinch the title.

She outpaced her rivals from the second round and despite a grueling back-to-back third and fourth round of games, she beat second place compatriot Park In-bee in a nine-stroke victory.

Ryu So-yeon tied at fifth at three over par.

Shin also won the Kingsmill Championship in Virginia last week and the Women's British Open four years ago in 2008.
