Typhoon Sanba is expected to affect South Korea from Sunday.

The typhoon is moving northward from the east of the Philippines. It is expected to pass through regions near Japan’s Okinawa Islands on Sunday and reach areas near Jeju Island on Monday before it hits Korea's southern coasts or passes through the Korea Strait.

Sanba is expected to develop into a medium-sized typhoon and create high waves in waters around Jeju Island on Sunday.

Heavy rain is expected for most parts of the nation. Jeju and southern coasts, in particular, are projected to see rain and strong winds.
