S. Korea Draws Uzbekistan 2-2 in World Cup Qualifier

South Korea has played Uzbekistan to a 2-2 draw in a qualifying match for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The first goal of Tuesday’s match in Tashkent came in the 12th minute when South Korea's Ki Sung-yueng put Uzbekistan up by deflecting a ball into his own net.

Kwak Tae-hee evened the match at 1-1 in the 43rd minute and Lee Dong-gook put the team ahead scoring in the 57th minute. However, the lead was short-lived following an Uzbekistani goal just two minutes later.

South Korea, which secured two wins in the previous regional World Cup qualifiers, continues to lead Group A with seven points. The Korean team will compete against Iran next month.
