South Korea Wins Gold in Women's Archery at Paralympics

South Korea has won gold in women’s team archery at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

Lee Hwa-sook, Kim Ran-sook and Ko Hee-sook defeated China 199-193 in the final of the group recurve event at the Royal Artillery Barracks.

This is the first gold medal a South Korean archery team has won in the Paralympics. A team of South Korean male archers took silver at the games, losing to Russia 200-206.

Meanwhile, swimmer Lim Woo-geun won a gold medal and set an Asian record of one minute and 34-point-06 seconds in the men’s 100-meter breaststroke.

Weightlifter Chun Keun-bae took the bronze in the men’s over 100 kilogram event.
