Shooter Kang Jun-young Wins Gold in London Paralympics

South Korean shooter Kang Ju-young has won gold in the mixed ten-meter air rifle standing event at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

He also set a Paralympic record with a total score of 705-point-five points at the competition at the Royal Artillery Barracks.

His compatriot shooter Jeon Jun-young came in sixth with a score of 702-point-nine points.

South Korea also won two bronze medals in table tennis, and swimmer Cho Won-sang took bronze in the men’s 200-meter freestyle event.

South Korea currently ranks 17 with three gold medals, one silver medal and four bronze medals.
