Venus Slips from Sight Behind Moon for 53 Minutes Tues.

A celestial show of Venus hiding behind the Moon was staged early Tuesday morning.

The Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute said that Venus disappeared behind the left of the moon at 2:41 a.m. Tuesday and reemerged from the right side 53 minutes later.

It was the first time since 1989 that the phenomenon has been observed, and the institute predicts it won't happen again until 2063.
