Son Yeon-jae Makes First Olympic Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics

South Korea's rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae has advanced to the final round of individual all-around at the London Olympics.

After a two-day qualification round on Friday at Wembley Arena in London, Son finished sixth among 24 gymnasts to become one of the top ten qualifying for Saturday’s final.

The 18-year-old gymnast reached the final by earning a combined score of 110-point-300 points in four segments of ball, hoop, clubs and ribbon.

Son has become the first South Korean to advance to the final round of individual all-around at Olympics Games.
