A heat wave advisory for the entire nation was lifted early Friday as two weeks of scorching temperatures begin to ease up.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast that afternoon highs in Seoul, Chuncheon, Daegu and Busan will reach 30 degrees Celsius, temperatures in Daejeon and Gwangju will climb to around 29 degrees Celcius. That’s between two and five degrees lower than Thursday.
The nation will see cloudy skies on Friday with thunder and sudden showers expected in some regions.
South Chungcheong Province and the Jeolla provinces are expected to see rainfall of between ten and 50 millimeters and other regions, including Seoul, see five to 30 millimeters of precipitation.
The nation will continue to see cloudy skies on Saturday and Sunday with light rain expected in Jeju Island.
