S. Korea Wins 2 Silver Medals in Taekwondo, Table Tennis

South Korea’s Lee Dae-hoon won the silver medal in the men's under 58-kilogram taekwondo competition on Wednesday at the London Olympics.

Lee lost 17-8 to top-seeded Joel Gonzalez Bonilla of Spain who floored Lee with a final-round head kick.

The men’s table tennis team of Joo Sae-hyuk, Oh Sang-eun and Ryu Seung-min also took silver after losing to China 3-0 in ExCel Arena.

Currently, South Korea ranks fourth in the overall medal tally with 12 gold, seven silver and six bronze medals.

On Thursday, South Korea will face off against the U.S. in women’s volleyball semifinals, while the women’s handball team squares off against the Dutch in a semifinal match.
