South Korea Wins Gold, Silver in Men's 50m Pistol

South Korea's Jin Jong-oh captured the gold medal and Choi Young-rae won the silver in the men's 50-meter pistol event in the London Olympics on Sunday.

Jin grabbed the gold with a total score of 662 points, defending his Olympic title in the event. His score was a combination of his 562 points accumulated leading up to the finals and the last 100 points in the medal decision game. Choi captured the silver medal with a total score of 661-point-five. China's Wang Zhiwei won the bronze with a total score of 658-point-six points.

Sunday's gold was Jin's second in the London Olympics. He earlier snagged the country’s first gold medal in the London games last Saturday in the men’s ten-meter air pistol event. Jin had won a gold and silver medal at the Beijing Olympics four years ago.
