S. Korean Men's Soccer Beats Switzerland 2-1

South Korean men's soccer beat Switzerland 2-1 in their second Group B match Sunday, moving the team one step closer to advancing to the round of eight at the London Olympics.

At City of Coventry Stadium, Arsenal forward Park Chu-young opened scoring 12 minutes into the second half. The Swiss team struck back quickly, but New Cardiff City winger Kim Bo-kyung broke the 1-1 tie with a left-foot strike minutes later to earn Korea three points in the standings.

Korea played to a scoreless draw with Mexico in its first group match Thursday. Korea's latest victory puts its point total at four and in second place behind Mexico, which beat Gabon earlier Sunday. Mexico also has four points with one win and a tie but leads South Korea in goal difference.

Team Korea will move to London to face Gabon in its third group match on Wednesday at the Wembley Stadium.
