Female Archers Win 7th Olympic Gold

South Korean women have won gold in the Olympic team archery event for the seventh consecutive time.

In the final match held Sunday, local time, at Lord's Cricket Ground in London, the South Korean trio of Ki Bo-bae, Choi Hyeon-ju and Lee Sung-jin beat the Chinese team 210-209.

Korean women archers have taken gold in every Olympics since the 1988 Seoul games when the team event was first introduced in archery.

Heavy rain began to fall just before the final, but the Korean team held their ground to beat the Chinese team by a single point.

In judo, Cho Jun-ho won the bronze in the repechage of the men's under-66-kilogram division on Sunday.

South Korea is fourth in the overall medal tally with two gold, a silver and two bronze medals after China, the U.S. and Italy.
